Some quick thoughts about Apple’s little new feature called VoiceOver.
Since the voices differ between Mac and Windows synchronizations, it could be fair enough to state that all the text-to-speech processes is taking place on the computer that syncs the iPod Shuffle in a way that pre-compiles all voiceovers and sync them as well. (read more here)
UPDATE: iTunes 8.1 is out and proves everything written above. (here) All the voiceover tagging is written in the beginning of each song.
BUT…..
What if all the text-to-voice, as long as, a speech recognition process were implemented into the iPod and iPhone OS.??
Do we need any buttons at all to play/pause etc. our music??
Really interesting. Definitely on my wishlist.
